Book your tickets for gala night of SJA Awards - Sports Journalists' Association

£60 – that’s the price (plus the Chancellor’s 20 per cent VAT) for SJA members to buy a ticket for the British Sports Journalism Awards presentation dinner, sponsored by BT Sport, being staged in central London on Monday, March 23.

Tickets are on sale now for this prestigious event, where the SJA President, Sir Michael Parkinson, and Jim Rosenthal will welcome nearly 400 guests to the Grand Connaught Rooms to celebrate excellence in sports photography, broadcasting and writing from 2014.

The SJA’s judges have been hard at work considering another record entry for our awards, which for the first time include a set of broadcasting awards which have been open to entries, as well as the established photography and writing categories.

The awards date back to 1976, and the past winners include some of the biggest names in British sports writing, photography and broadcasting. Who will add their names to the roll of honour for 2014?

On the night of March 23, we will be declaring the winners of the Sports Writer of the Year, Sports Photographer of the Year, Sports Newspaper of the Year, Sports Website of the Year and another 25 awards.

The shortlists in the categories will be published on this website over the course of a a few days from next Wednesday, February 25.

The ticket price for SJA members (£72, once the Chancellor’s got his cut) is outstanding value, and is half the cost of tickets for non-members, representing an important benefit of membership. Members may also purchase up to one additional ticket at the special rate of £108.
